The earliest burial included is in 1807, with most dates recorded throughout the 1800s with a few in the early 20th century.

This publication has extra value to researchers because it contains transcriptions from almost 50 years ago.... some stones may no longer exist or be easily readable today. The transcribers published the results in 1976. That value is enhanced further because the transcribers of 1975 included comparative notes based on the much earlier cemetery recording that was prepared by Mr and Mrs H. Clifford Freeman in 1953.

Click here to browse the Index

Contents include:

Title page - this 2023 edition

Original 1976 title page including cemetery location details

Introduction

History, condition, restoration

Three photographs of the cemetery [1976]

Listing of nearby pioneer cemeteries whose stones may have been moved to Denny Cemetery after 1975

Comparative Notes on memorials of the Denny Cemetery [1953-1975]

Tombstone transcriptions completed 28 October 1975 [listed by placement within the cemetery; includes some notes on condition and relationships]

Index to Memorial Stone Inscriptions

Details:

18 Pages
8.5 X 11"
Index
Originally published by Ottawa Branch, Ontario Genealogical Society, 1976
Original 1976 ISBN (none recorded) Was know as "Publication 76-6"
This edition published by Global Heritage Press, Carleton Place, 2023
New ISBN 978-1-77240-227-8 (Coilbound edition)

https://globalgenealogy.ca/products/denny-cemetery-near-philipsville-bastard-township-leeds-county-ontario
