In 1894 the property was owned by Hugh Robertson and his son, Robert J. Robertson. Later, in 1910, it is reported that Edward Cram became the owner. However, R. J. Robertson must have retained possession of a portion of the property as he commenced selling burial plots here. At his death his widow continued in the business in accord with the dictates of his will. Subsequent to the death of Mrs Robertson in 1953, St Andrews Presbyterian Church held title for a brief period and then turned title over to the Board of Trustees of the United Cemeteries of St Fillans and Maplewood. All three are now known collectively as Beckwith United Cemeteries.

Those persons who participated in the recording, proofreading, typing and mapping were: Allan Mackey, Darell Small, Peggy Mackey, Fern Small, Doug McDermid, Dolly Allen, Sylvia McDermid, John Carruthers, Helen McLean, Evalyn Collins, Dorothy Olmstead, Ken Collins, Gordon Olmstead, Eulalie Cox, Mary Rayburn, Jim Cox, Alan Rayburn, Katherine Ferguson, Norah LaRocque, Diana Hall, all volunteers from the Ottawa Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society

Details

130 Pages plus 2 large cemetery maps
8.5 X 11"
Index
Originally published by Ottawa Branch, Ontario Genealogical Society, 1986
Original 1986 ISBN (none recorded)
This edition published by Global Heritage Press, Ottawa 2021
New ISBN 978-1-77240-175-2 (Coilbound edition)

https://globalgenealogy.ca/products/vol-3-beckwith-united-cemeteries-pinegrove-cemetery-beckwith-township-lanark-county-ontario
