The County of Perth was formed out of the old Huron District. In 1851-1852 the following townships were part of the County of Perth: Blanshard, Hibbert, Fullarton, Downie, South Easthope, North Easthope, Ellice, Logan, Elma, Mornington, and Wallace.
Some of the towns and townships where marriages occurred and were reported in the Perth County Register include: Fullarton, Hibbert, the town of Mitchell, Logan, Downie, Wawanosh, the town of Stratford, South Easthope, North Easthope, Blanshard, Osborne, London, Momington, Nissouri, Zorra, Wallace, West Nissori, Hullett, Elma, Woodstock, Hay township, Wilmot, Hawksville, Allansville, Bells Comers, Clinton, Maryborough and a number of other areas.
