1820 and 1821 a large contingent of Scottish families emigrated to the New Lanark Settlement in Upper Canada (Ontario) under the auspices of the British government. These settlers were awarded land grants in the townships of Dalhousie, Lanark, North Sherborooke and Ramsay in what became Lanark County.
This book includes a transcript of the ship's passenger lists and related materials of the Glasgow Emigration Society settlers that travelled to Quebec (Lower Canada) for settlement in Upper Canada (Ontario) on four ships in 1821.
