Please note: Mr. MacDonald created the paper masters for these books in the 1980s using a photocopier. The publisher (2010) digitally cleaned the masters to the best that they can be, reproducing the work onto high quality paper using the latest digital print technology. The result is quite readable, though some photographs and photocopies of documents are not at the standard that we expect today. Unfortunately MacDonald "In general".... "did not include the entries for the native Indians of St. Regis" unless the rite included a settler or an indigenous person MacDonald considered notable.
